In an unprecedented, sensational display of unyielding faith, spiritual renewal, and cross border unity, the Malawi Provisional Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church made history as passionate delegates flooded the Namoni Katengeza Lay Training Center in Dedza from 4 to 6, August 2026. Ending a ten year hiatus, this monumental gathering ignited a glorious revival that re energized the entire denomination.

Presided over by Ruwadzano (RRW) President Mai Bishop Dr. Mazvita Machinga, the historic convention reached electrifying heights. Addressing the roaring congregation with dynamic leadership, Dr. Machinga passionately declared, “God has remembered His daughters; this resurgence is a testament to divine restoration without women, the church is dead!” Her words echoed through the halls, setting off an unforgettable wave of excitement and spiritual empowerment.

Conference Superintendent Rev. Godfrey Gaga added with fiery conviction, “Streams of renewal are flowing! I have already seen the joy in your faces, so let us boldly carry this bag of renewal wherever we go.” Meanwhile, Rev. Daniel Mhone proclaimed, “The spiritual fire ignited here will transform our ministries forever as streams of blessings, finances, and growth flow continuously.”

From dynamic leadership installations and sacred Holy Communion to crucial financial resolutions and seven fruitful workshop streams, the gathering addressed every dimension of ministry and family life. Zimbabwe DS Zvingowanisei affirmed that cross border fellowship strengthened their shared foundation, while delegates embraced technology, village banking, and youth mentorship with newfound vigor.

As the historic event concluded triumphantly, delegates departed fully empowered, deeply united, and ready to rebuild their circuits, prove their unbreakable strength, and step boldly into a glorious new era of faith, hope, and total transformation. Armed with renewed purpose, the women of Malawi left Dedza ready to carry the sacred flame of revival to every corner of the Malawi nation.
